Emergency stop switch principle

The emergency stop switch is usually a manually controlled push switch (the button is red), press to lock and rotate to release the red mushroom head button switch or round button switch (some emergency stop switches are equipped with LED lights for easy operation), in series Access to the control circuit of the device, used to directly disconnect the power of the control circuit in an emergency, so as to quickly stop the device to avoid abnormal operation. The role of the emergency stop switch

The function of the emergency stop switch is to make the machine stop immediately under any circumstance, and stop the machine immediately when an emergency occurs during its function to prevent damage or expansion of losses.

In addition, the emergency stop button has a direct open circuit action device (forced disconnect device) on the NC contact, but the normal button does not. Because if the contacts are stuck together, the equipment cannot be stopped under hazardous conditions (load). If this happens, the equipment may continue to operate in a harmful state. Therefore, for safety applications, use NC contacts on the emergency stop button switch. There is no difference between the normal button and the emergency stop button in the function of the NO contact.
